Announcing the 12th US-China Forum

November 20, 2017, Washington DC

The 12th US-China Forum will be held on November 20, 2017 at the National Press Club in Washington DC.

The forum, held alternatively in Hong Kong and Washington since 2012, aims to improve the understanding of North American policymakers of Sino-US relations and to seek constructive ways for the U.S. and China to work together to advance economic development in Asia.

This year’s forum, held in the aftermath of President Trump’s visit to China, will assess the current status of US-China relations and will seek ways to broaden the relations beyond the obvious thorny issues of North Korea, South China Sea and trade. To this end we will explore areas of cooperation such as energy security, technological innovation, infrastructure development and the Belt and Road Initiative. A delegation of senior experts from China will travel to Washington to take part in the event.
